Comenius
– School Partnerships
For
Partnership activities from October 2007 to July 2009
Multilateral
Partnerships: The partnership consists of institutions located
in at least three of the countries participating in the Lifelong
Learning programme.
Bilateral
Partnerships:
The partnership consists of two institutions, each one located in
one of the countries participating in the Lifelong Learning
programme.
At
least one participating institution will be a Member State of the
European Union at the starting date of the Partnership.The two
institutions are Colegiul Tehnic De Industrie Alimentara Suceava-Romania
and Salihli Sekine Evren Anadolu Lisesi –Turkey.
Partnership s Content and Organisation
Concrete aims
The
project contains several concrete aims due to the fact that it has
linguistic, cultural, geographical, historical and social
components. They can be listed as follows:
1.1. providing the learning of languages which are
scarcely learned and used
1.2. supporting the consciousness of different cultural
richness
1.3. the first usage of Money-studying the effects of
money and trade
on history and public life
Concerning the
pupils
1.3.1. -learning the language of the partnership country
1.3.2. -learning the geography and history of countries
1.3.3. -learning the effects of geographic locations on trade
of
different countries
1.3.4. -supporting the struggle against racism by means of
Cross culture by knowing and introducing
different countries
1.3.5. -enabling the disadvantaged students to socialize, adapting
them to society and providing with them the
1.3.6. -necessary atmosphere and basic circumstances to gain
their self-confidence
1.3.7. -illustrating concrete models in terms of the apprehension of
new cultures and geographical surroundings to
1.3.8. -widen the pupils’ relatively abstract ways
of perceiving
different cultures
1.3.9. -improving the skills of communication and research in the
area of media
1.3.10. –improving the skills of enterprise and team work
Concerning the teachers
1.3.11.
improving the skills of new teaching methods
1.3.12.
providing new cultural and educational perspectives for the
teaching staff
1.3.13.
encouraging them to take part in multi-cultural and
multi-lingual organizations
Concerning the local community
1.3.14.
bringing in social dynamism and cultural mobility into the
social and cultural life
1.3.15.
forming the circumstances of mutual tolerance and respect
that comes out of the interaction between different cultures
1.3.16.
awakening the demand for learning new languages and directing
them to fields like culture, folklore and other social branches
1.3.17.
responding the wish of learning inside people
Concerning institution and
wider educational community
1.3.18.
the Project will keep the cooperating institutions and their
staff enthusiastic about organizing similar projects in their own
fields of service on an international platform.
1.3.19.
the connections among the coordinator school, the visitor
school, the supporting chambers and cooperating administrations
would beneficial for possible future projects and organizations.
End Products
Due
to the fact that the Project is workshop-oriented and practice
based, the final products to be attained show variety. They are as
follows:

A web-page about the Project on the school web sites
·
A booklet translated into Romanian-Turkish and also English in which
the introductory information about ancient monetary system and
history.
·
A little dictionary in which the monetary and historical terms are
explained in Romanian-Turkish and English
·
A photo album and a CD record of the workshops and activities
·
Memorial boards in the schools
·
An exhibition of the coins, photos
·
Working together both countries will prepare an intercultural
calendar showing the most popular historical and geographical
places. The first half of the year will be prepared by Romania, the
second half will be prepared by Turkey.
Expected results, including
products.
At least 1 product should be jointly produced by all partners.
